Sessions last approx 3 hours in your home, during which time I will carefully assess the issues with you. My aim is to help you understand your dog's behaviours and the reasoning behind them. This will ultimately improve the relationship between you.

I will teach you ways to handle your dog using modern techniques and positive reinforcement where ever possible. This will help you build confidence to manage and modify the unwanted behaviours.

I will provide a full written report and offer ongoing support via telephone/email/whats app, whichever is best.

EARLY LEARNING PUPPY COURSE

From the age of 8 weeks I offer early training and practical advice to help you build a strong, healthy and balanced relationship with your new puppy. This is a course with a difference, teaching you the essential basics and laying solid foundations for future training. During the 8 weeks you will learn a huge amount to help you successfully raise a calm, confident, and happy puppy including:

  • Focus and engagement

  • Socialisation

  • Self control

  • Crate and toilet training

  • Feeding,nutrition and husbandry 

  • Problem solving and how to prevent unwanted behaviour

  • Settling down

  • Confidence building and body awareness      

        

​Covering one topic per week and incorporating some great training games, the course is extremely user friendly. Classes are held indoors and restricted to 4 puppies, ensuring you receive the support you need during those crucial early weeks of puppy’s development.

UK SNIFFER DOGS SCENT DETECTION

Dogs see the world through their nose, with their smell being 100,000 times stronger than our own. Consequently, understanding this sense can strengthen your relationship with your dog, and provides them with valuable mental stimulation - 10 minutes scent work is the equivalent to a 1 hour run!

It is suitable for all breeds of any age and plays a huge part in behaviour reformation including reactivity, anxiety, hyperactivity, and nervousness.

 

We keep class sizes small to ensure clients are given the time they need.

Bronze Level Workshop £195.00

 

  • ​Four, 2 hour workshops where you will learn the fascinating facts of scent work and develop the skill to teach your dog scent identification, indication and search pattern.

  • We will progress to combining these elements and take a closer look at the dogs body language to recognize indication within more challenging environments while searching new and novel environments.

  • You will receive a pocket size scent kit to allow you to practice at home, as well as information handouts.

  • Upon completion you will receive a certificate and rosette for your achievement and you will be eligible to compete in any UK Sniffer Dogs Bronze Trials!

  • Having completed the two workshops, an optional opportunity to run your dogs and compete against the clock in a novel environment.

  • Certificates and rosettes awarded to the top three competitors.

 1-2-1 SESSIONS, SMALL GROUPS & WORKSHOPS

To achieve the very best outcome, these sessions and workshops are only available to handlers following the early learning  puppy course or a behavioural consultation.

 

Sessions are fun, informative but informal, and tailored to meet the specific needs of both dog and handler.

 

1-2-1, small group sessions and workshops allow more time to explain why the individual dog does what it does and why we use the particular training methods we do, without experiencing the distractions which come when training in a large group.

​

This approach helps dog and handler to have a greater understanding of one another, the relationship will become more balanced, the bond will grow stronger and consequently the dog will be more responsive to the training.
