I recently completed the Bronze level with Penny and really enjoyed the course. Fun and professional with clear instructions throughout. I loved the small classes with lots of individual attention. The venue is great with a variety of places for searching making it very interesting. Most of all, I am enjoying developing a strong bond with my dog, without the pressure of other gundog disciplines. I look forward to carrying on training!

Penny is well-organised and plans sessions meticulously. She is able to adapt and treats each handler and dog as individuals. Her sessions are interesting and enjoyable, with well-calculated challenge and pace. She makes everyone, human and canine a winner!

Jupiter and I really enjoy the scent training courses run by Penny, she is an excellent trainer who takes time to explain everything to the handler, and gives the dog enjoyable tasks at which they can be successful, and then builds their skills from there. Highly recommended.

I have recently started the bronze level scent work course with my Labrador - we were given clear instructions before starting the course which set us up well for the first session. Penny has lead the course in an excellent manner and the structure of the session has been perfect for allowing us to put the theory into practice. The session has been informative with clear instructions. It is really enjoyable to attend and learn new skills which can then be practiced at home, and I would thoroughly recommend Penny for this course.

Ernie and I have been doing the scent training with penny and loving every minute of it, she is a fantastic instructor and adapts to all different dogs. Ernie took a while to get to grips with it but penny patiently took time with us both, would most definitely recommend.

I have recently completed the Bronze level with my Labrador. The sessions were really well planned and methodical. We were provided with clear instructions to follow the week before starting to prepare our dogs for their training. Each session developed new and more demanding skills with clear progression. Penny is an exceptional trainer who encourages and guides you, building confidence and knowledge as you progress. Fun and laughs were had by all on this amazing course. Looking forward to continuing our sniffer journey with Penny.

I rescued’ a 16 month old Labrador knowing some of her history. She was house trained but that was all! She had absolutely no manners, didn’t understand boundaries or ground rules, the ‘wild child’ had arrived! Fortunately Penny was recommended to us.
We have been working with Penny over the last 18 months, both 1 -1 sessions, and community walks. Penny is always calm and understanding, of both dog and owner, using reward based training. She makes training interesting and fun, and generously shares her wealth of knowledge and experience.
She is encouraging and has given me confidence to develop my skills and I have no hesitation in recommending her.

I just wanted to thank you, Penny, for all your help with Lola and Seth. We came quite late to dog training due to Covid-19 so tried our best at home but there were things that we just couldn’t crack! However, with your help and insights into dog and human nature our lives are transformed! We can walk to heel, not jump up and have excellent recall. If anyone reading this is considering having dog training with Penny, I can recommend her completely.

You do an amazing job and you're fair and honest!!!

We have been training our young dog under Penny’s guidance since she was ten weeks old. With her support and direction we have seen Jupiter make great progress with good manners, obedience and steadiness.  Penny makes learning fun for the dog, and she breaks tasks down into easy achievable stages, so the experience is rewarding for the owners too. We look forward to our training sessions and have no hesitation recommending Penny Davies Canine Consultant to other dog owners.

I rescued a hound cross, Herbert, from Cyprus in November 2021.  He's such a loving little chap but presented a number of behavioural challenges.  I did not know who to turn to.  A friend of mine recommended Penny.  We had one session at home, where Penny assessed Herbert's behaviour and she made a number of recommendations and we are currently taking training sessions in Penny's secure field.  Penny does not have a magic wand but if you follow her expert advice and work with your dog, as Penny suggests, the results are amazing. Herbert is more confident and listens much better to instruction.  It's work in progress but we have come a long way, thank you Penny.

Penny Davies was recommended to me when 'Toby' came into our home, an 8 week old 'Jug' (Jack Russell/ Pug). This was our families first dog, we were novices!!

Penny's easy manner and amazing knowledge  helped us create good habits from day 1 and has enabled Toby to develop into a delightful and friendly chap. She has advised us on best practice, made suggestions, provided ideas and educated us on how to managing tricky bad habits. In fact 'Puppy training' should be called 'owner training!!'

Toby adores her and using her dog walking service when I am working and unable to get home at lunchtimes has been invaluable to maintain good training habits.

In addition we have regular 121 training sessions so that Toby's obedience and my confidence can improve to enable him to go out in any social environment safely.

Toby is now 14 months old and we have been on one of Penny's community walks, to build up his recall with distraction, so that he learns to stay with me off lead ......so far so good.

I cannot recommend Penny highly enough if you are looking for a knowledgeable, professional and friendly trainer to help support you and your dog.
